Huichol Recording Process: Update 4
Well it's Saturday morning and Jake and Mariano just finished having some pancakes (they were Mariano's first pancakes ever) and are now back to recording. They started the day off with 17 chapters left. They now have 15 more chapters to go and are officially almost 95% done! In the most of the villages they don't have electricity, so the people go to bed as soon as it is dark. These long hours are super-hard for them. Tonight they are going to record as late as Mariano can stand it and they will get up early (Maybe as early as four if Mariano can survive) and record before church tomorrow. Hopefully they finish before church because after the service here in Tepic Jose Lopez is coming in to finish the last chapter of 2nd Peter and had prepared a message to put on the Megavoices. The Tepic Church is also having baptisms today and celebrating the Lord's Supper in the evenign. I think the message will basically be an introduction and he will share the gospel. So in essence today and tomorrow morning are the last of the official recording times. With 15 chapters left it is pretty overwheling . Even with 15-hour recording days, sometimes the maximum they finish six or seven chapters. Please continue to pray for this project.

My computer (the firewire jack on Jake's computer broke, so now they are using mine and mine has been crashing for no apparent reason. Also many of the keys on the keyboard have stopped working. So we've gone through two computers on this recording project ).
