On Vacation...Will the Blogosphere Survive?
Making my frist trip up to the White Mountains to visit the condo that I recently jointly purchased along with my dad and my wife’s grandparents, I found myself refreshed even by the drive. It’s great to get out of the city and see trees and breathe cold, clean air. Anyway, I won’t be blogging much for a few days because of my pseudo-vacation, pre-celebrating my anniversary and post-celebrating the end of finals.
Since this is our first time up here we don’t have internet; maybe we won’t even get internet. It would probably be good for me to be away. I don’t know if I can do it. Within hours of arriving I find myself in the freezing cold with numb fingers hanging the laptop off the balcony at a 45-degree angle facing north-northwest in the only location that I’ve found thus far where I can manage a “Very Low” wi-fi connection on one of my unsuspecting neighbor’s unsecured wireless network.
So I probably won’t be blogging due to limited internet access, desire to spend uninterrupted time with my wife, and also trying to repair the pipe in the attic (One of the first things we discovered when we walked in and turned the water on was that water begin pouring out of a light fixture in the ceiling; apparently a pipe froze and burst. Welcome to home ownership!). Nevertheless, I am certain that this day away will be a blessing. I’ll try to not let the busted pipe mess up my joy. Should we accept good and not evil from the hand of the Lord?
I hope the blogosphere can survive without me
